Billy Coxson - Harvested during the first three days of Shotgun. Aged at 3 years old. 22 1/2 inch spread, 139 4\8 B+C Points.

This buck was taken the first day of Shotgun 11/27/04, weighing 222 lbs. (dressed) and is aged at 4.5 years old. This is an example of a good mature 8 point buck that needed to be taken because he reached his full potential. He was still 222 lbs. after the rut. Just think what he weighed before the rut! (250+)

Maryland Deer Hunting and Deer Hunting in Maryland hunts on three day intervals and then we give the Maryland Deer a break for at least twice as long as we hunt. We only hunt within these days and no one is in the woods at any other time. This is the way we control the hunting pressure and is one of the many reasons for our success on mature bucks. Maryland Hunting offers Trophy Deer Hunting and Whitetail Deer Hunting. Our seasons are about the same every year. We do no hunting at all until Early Muzzleloader. We are now booking 2005 season.
